Frequently
asked questions
What’s the difference between EDU and the full version of Final Draft 13?
The only difference between the EDU version and the full version of Final Draft 13 is the pricing! They’re the same program, but eligible users can purchase the EDU version at a discount.
What requirements do I need to meet to purchase at the EDU pricing?
To be eligible for this offer, you must currently be employed as a teacher, faculty or staff at a K-12 school or university. For US purchasers, Final Draft uses SheerID, a trusted partner, to verify that you are a current teacher, faculty or staff member. SheerID only collects information that assists in verifying your eligibility. For non-US EDU purchasers, we perform an independent verification of your institution’s eligibility.
Can I still use the EDU version once I graduate?
Yes! The license you purchase will still be usable after you graduate. However, you may need to have your license email address updated to continue accessing the program. Please contact our Customer Success team to update your email if needed.
I’m in high school, can I buy the EDU version?
Yes, but a parent or guardian will need to complete the purchase on your behalf if you’re under 18, and your sign-in credentials will be under their email address.
I’m doing a screenwriting course outside of a university or other accredited school. Do I qualify for the EDU pricing?
You would not qualify for the EDU pricing. You must be studying at a university or other accredited school to qualify for the EDU pricing.
