Subscription Returns to Final Draft
For customers who purchased a subscription to Final Draft Suite, we offer a complimentary 5-day free trial. Once your trial expires, your subscription will automatically begin and will be charged to the credit card you placed the order with per the terms you agreed upon.
- Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable, including the first monthly charge after a free trial as well as all renewals.
- Annual subscriptions are eligible for a full-refund of the annual subscription fee only in the following cases:
- The first billing of a new paid annual subscription with no prior trial, or
- The first billing immediately following a free trial period.
- A 7-day (one-week) refund window begins at the time of the initial paid annual charge is successfully processed.
- Refunds requested within this window result in:
- A full refund of the annual subscription fee for that invoice, and
- Immediate cancellation of the subscription and removal of paid access
- After the 7-day window expires:
- No refunds are provided for the annual subscription for that term.
- Annual renewals are not eligible for refunds.
Subscription Cancellations to Final Draft
For any customer who has purchased a subscription to Final Draft Suite, who is in a trial or in a paid subscription, you may cancel at any time by going to My Account > My Licenses > Actions > Cancel Subscription.
- Monthly subscriptions will remain active until the end of the current monthly billing period.
- Annual subscriptions will remain active until the end of the current annual billing period.
- Customers actively in Trial will not have charges made therefore no refunds are applicable. If you cancel during the trial, the trial will still end on the trial expiration date (5 days after purchase) and no subscription fee will be charged.
There are no mid-period cancellations, and no partial or prorated refunds are issued for any unused portion of the billing period.
Software Returns to Final Draft
For customers who purchased a Final Draft single-user screenwriting software product directly from us, we offer a 30-day money-back guarantee from the date of purchase. There is a limit of 2 refunds per Final Draft version for each customer. Submitting a refund request does not guarantee a refund, especially if it doesn’t meet the above criteria.
We will refund the purchase price after verification that all computers on which Final Draft screenwriting software has been installed have been signed out. No refund will be issued until all computers are signed out and the account has had the entitlements removed. Click HERE for information on how to sign out of Final Draft screenwriting software.
Software Returns to Third-Party Vendors
If Final Draft screenwriting software is purchased from a source other than us, (i.e. The Writers Store, Amazon.com, a university bookstore, etc.), you must return the software to that reseller per their return policy and procedures.
All activations must be removed from any computers on which Final Draft screenwriting software has been installed.
Once the software has been deactivated and returned to the place of purchase, no activations, updates, upgrades or technical support will be provided by us.
Software returns due to wrong licenses
If you are returning an original software product due to the purchase of an incorrect license type (i.e. full version rather than EDU version) please email [email protected] to purchase the correct license needed.
