TECHNICAL SUPPORT

Final Draft offers FREE customer support in several different ways:

• FREE access to Final Draft™s online Knowledge Base, which contains over 800 answers to frequently-asked questions.
• FREE human-to-human e-mail support through the online Knowledge Base for registered users -- click the "Send an Email" button at the bottom of any answer page.
• FREE phone authorizations/activations.
• FREE chat during business hours; click the "Escalate to Chat" button at the bottom of any answer page.

Phone support is available via a toll-free number for U.S. and most Canadian residents, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays.

• The phone number for customer support for U.S. and most Canadian residents is 1-888-320-7555.
• The phone number for customer support for international callers is 1-818-906-8930 (toll fees may apply).
• The phone number for activations/authorizations is 818-789-6281 (9-5 M-F Pacific Time).

NEW CUSTOMERS and UPGRADE PURCHASERS receive 20 minutes of free phone support for the first 90 days after registration.

After the 20 minutes are used up or 90 days have passed since registering, calls to the Customer Support line (1-888-320-7555 or 818-906-8930) will be charged at $2.50 per minute, payable via credit card. The billing clock starts only when you begin speaking with a support person and the first minute is free.

Please have your Customer Number and credit card information available at the time of your call. Our phone system will ask you to input that information via your touch-tone keypad.

For authorizations/activations, the Customer Support phone number has a menu option for users who cannot authorize/activate via the internet. You'll need to have your Customer Number and Challenge Code on your screen and be ready to key them into your touch-tone phone. Please refer to the Getting Started manual or our online Knowledge Base for instructions on authorization/activation.

Should you need further assistance with authorizing/activating, you can call 818-789-6281 and you will not be charged, although toll fees may apply. (Please note that only authorizations/activations will be handled at this number. Technical issues unrelated to authorization/activation will not be answered.) This line is available Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM Pacific Time.

If you have somehow lost an authorization/activation, you can reach a live person at the 888 line to request a replacement authorization/activation. The support person will make sure (after the fact) that the call is refunded if it lasts more than a minute and if the only issue discussed is the lost authorization/activation.

Technical support is available only for registered users of Final Draft 6 and 7 and Final Draft AV2/2.5.

NOTE: We no longer offer phone or e-mail support for Final Draft 5.x and lower. You may be able to find information you need in this knowledge base or in the manual.
