Final Draft screenwriter Stephen Scarlata’s years of research on cult film director Alejandro Jodorowsky (SANTE SANGRE, EL TOPO, THE HOLY MOUNTAIN) is finally seeing the light of day. The documentary is expected to be a big hit with die hard sci-fi fans. While the ambitious production of Jodorowsky’s DUNE feature collapsed after two years, his talented team of then relatively unknown concept artists and writers continued exploring the themes and styles started on the project and ended up changing modern science fiction forever through their work on films like ALIEN, TOTAL RECALL, THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK, TRON, and THE FIFTH ELEMENT. The film is directed & produced by Frank Pavich and written and produced by Stephen Scarlata. The two previously worked together on the cult-underground music documentary N.Y.H.C.
