2. Scriptwriters Showcase / Take A Meeting Success Story

The 2007 Scriptwriters Showcase proved to be a spectacular success for writer and attendee D.A. Stenard. Stenard participated in Take A Meeting, a Final Draft service held in conjunction with this year’s Showcase event. Upon hearing her pitch, RandomGirl Productions (RGP) returned Stendard’s pitch for A Snowball's Chance with an optioned deal. Julie Cannon and Iris Davison of RGP stated, “RandomGirl Productions is thrilled with their results from Final Draft's Take A Meeting. Writer D.A. Stenard pitched a brilliant high-concept broad comedy and delivered with an incredibly funny and clever script that RGP has optioned."

Stenard explains, "I have participated in several pitch meetings and have never found them to be at all helpful. However, when I got the e-mail about Take A Meeting, I decided to try again. The patience and professionalism of the Showcase staff helped me to choose the different companies (out of dozens to choose from) who were best suited to my material. It was the absolute best thing I could have ever done for my career. Thank you, RGP and Final Draft!"

RGP recently developed a pilot for Showtime and is repped by Lindsay Howard at APA.
