2. Final Draft on Television
Final Draft is the #1 software for writing and formatting scripts for TV shows. And now it's even been used as a plot device on a network show!
In the November 20th episode of Aaron Sorkin’s critically-acclaimed series Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, entitled The Option Period, Final Draft gets a mention when two of the writers are caught by the producers for secretly working on a pilot script for another show.
We were pleasantly surprised to learn that the fictional writing staff of Studio 60 uses Final Draft and that the real writers – who also use Final Draft – referred to us by name. Thanks for mentioning us!
Some Final Draft staffers think Studio 60 is one of the best shows on the air and we’re particularly interested because it portrays, among other things, television writers at work. It airs Monday nights at 10pm on NBC.
