1. Scriptwriters Showcase - The Elite Event for the Serious Scriptwriter

It's all here, at the Scriptwriters Showcase, brought to you by Final Draft and Scr(i)pt Magazine, two of the industry leaders specializing in helping aspiring writers to realize their dreams and ambitions.
This event will take place April 7-9, 2006 at Universal Studios and is designed to allow writers the chance to learn about the many career opportunities that exist in the entertainment industry and how to go about achieving their goals by learning from those that have come before them in a social, non-competitive environment.

3. Robert McKee in London and Las Vegas

Final Draft has long had a warm working relationship with Robert McKee. Author of the bestselling book Story, McKee is one of the most widely known and respected screenwriting teachers in the world. Portrayed in the Oscar™ nominated hit ADAPTATION, named Hollywood's Most Wanted Screenwriting Teacher by Movieline magazine, and profiled by 60 Minutes correspondent Bob Simon on CBS News' Sunday Morning 2005 Academy Awards Special, McKee's sold-out Story Seminars teach the essential principles of screenwriting and story design that studios, production companies and publishers demand from their writers.

Robert McKee brings two great events to London this month - Genre Weekend and the Story Seminar. Genre Weekend, which runs four days from November 18-21, features four, 1-day seminars on Comedy, Thriller, Horror and Film Masterpiece. This is the first and only time McKee is offering all four Genre classes in a single weekend. The following weekend McKee presents his 3-day Story Seminar in London from November 25-27. McKee then wraps up his 2005 schedule with the 3-day Story Seminar in Las Vegas the weekend of December 2-4, 2005.

"To become a professional writer you will need the tools to succeed. Final Draft is the only screenwriting software I recommend to my students." - Robert McKee
