the release of Final Draft Version 5.0, unveiled at Final Draft
booth # 1701 at ShowBiz Expo, taking place at the Los Angeles
Convention Center (June 25-27). The industry-acclaimed software,
used by top screenwriters such as Oliver Stone, Lawrence Kasdan
and Sydney Pollack, and television shows like "Friends","Dawson's
Creek" and "Frasier" has been re-engineered from
the ground up, utilizing state-of-the-art development tools and
offers many totally new features, including a text-to-speech feature
that allows the script to be read back to the writer in character-specific
voices. Final Draft is the world's best-selling word processor
specifically designed for screenwriters, television writers and
playwrights on both Windows and Macintosh computers. With a user

State of the Art Look and Feel - Both Windows
and Macintosh versions have been redesigned to be in complete
compliance with the latest operating system's look and feel. Writers

Templates (Stationary Support) - Final Draft
5.0 will allow writers to set up stationary "templates",complete
with customized settings, such as Margins, Elements or Character
Names, then save them as templates for later use. The writer will
then simply choose 'New' from the 'File' menu, choose the type
of document or preset customized document desired, (such as a
specialized network television show or a personalized feature-film
format) and begin to write, without worrying about format preparation.

click away with Final Draft 5.0's new, completely indexed on-line
user manual.
Text-To-Speech - Assign voices to each character
and a narrator to read the action, and Final Draft 5.0 will read
any selected part of the script to you. Much like a table read
without having to hire the actors.
Built-in E-mail Capability - With Final Draft
5.0 and the user's internet connection, writers may E-mail a script
and any messages to their agents, co-writers, producers or any
destination directly from the program. This eliminates the need
to produce and messenger a hard copy of a script, or to transport

Built-in Standard Text Word Processor - Writers

Final Draft 5.0 Minimum Requirements:
Final Draft 5.0 for Windows requires a 486 or Pentium-based IBM-PC
processor, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows Me or
Windows NT, 16 MB of RAM, CD-ROM drive and approximately 10 MB
of hard drive space.
Final Draft 5.0 for Macintosh requires a 68030 processor or better,
System 7.6.1 or higher, 16 MB of RAM, CD-ROM drive and approximately
10 MB of hard drive space and is PowerMac native.
