On the Scene
On the Scene is a gallery of photos exhibiting the interaction of Final Draft, Inc. staff members with the scriptwriting community.

On Monday, June 6, Script Magazine staff, readers and industry professionals invaded The Cat & Fiddle Pub & Restaurant in Hollywood for post celebration/relaxation from that weekend's Great American PitchFest.

As always, we filled the pub to the max. Joining us this month were Script Magazine's popular Balls of Steel columnist and #ScriptChat co-founder, Jeanne Veillette Bowerman; her writing partner and Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, Douglas A. Blackmon (Slavery By Another Name), #ScriptChat co-founder, Zac Sanford; Virtual Pitch Fest Vice President, Nevada Grey; and screenwriter Bob DeRosa (Killers), among others.

In addition to our special guests, we also had screenwriters from across the country and across the world come out and partake in the libations and conversation. We met screenwriters from Nevada, Colorado, Arkansas and even Australia who were all in town for the PitchFest and stayed a few extra days because they wanted come to the meetup, network and make connections. Given the number of people that showed up, we think those extra days spent in L.A. were worth it.

Our Script Magazine meetups are built around the idea of community, and there's no better place to get a community of writers together and talking than in a great bar, which The Cat & Fiddle graciously provides us for every meetup. A "conversation through libations" is our meetup motto, and the record attendance of this particular meetup, beating our previous meetup in May, certainly had everybody talking that evening.

In addition to our readership and a few notable names, staff members from Script Magazine and Final Draft, Inc. were on hand, answering questions about the magazine and software and providing useful information to those who inquired.
